PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zai Zai Cabango (ranked 373 p4p, 525 weight class) and Gunt Jernit (ranked 55 p4p, 72 weight class). Cabango comes into the arena with HonestKey- Who I Am blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabango misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jernit.
Jernit looks to land a right hand but Cabango moved out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Cabango 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jernit takes a swing at Cabango's ribcage but misses.
Jernit lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Cabango connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jernit. Jernit circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Cabango throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jernit.

It looks like Gunt Jernit has been cut.
Jernit avoids the body shot from Cabango.
Jernit tries to counter with a clinch but Cabango shakes him off and moves away.
Jernit blocks a jab.

Jernit fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cabango, pushing him back against the cage.

Cabango decides to pull guard.
Jernit's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Cabango escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jernit gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cabango is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jernit is aware though and is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jernit controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Cabango has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Jernit doesn't defend quickly enough and Cabango has managed to lock this one up! Can Jernit escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Cabango on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Zai Zai Cabango!

A relieved looking Zai Zai Cabango thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
