Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ejiri Kenzo (ranked 3502 p4p, 5517 weight class) and Dylan Martins (ranked 355 p4p, 440 weight class). Kenzo comes into the arena with KICK BACK blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dylan Martins was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martins throws a looping overhand right but Kenzo ducks down to avoid it.

We've been hearing reports that Kenzo has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Martins looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Martins shoots in looking for a takedown but Kenzo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Martins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ejiri Kenzo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Martins.
Kenzo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Martins stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Kenzo counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Dylan Martins has been cut.

and Kenzo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Martins rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kenzo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Martins misses with a wild body shot.
Kenzo throws the left hand but Martins avoids the punch easily.

Kenzo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Martins shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kenzo as he jumps to the side.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kenzo cracks Martins with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
