Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aldo Rain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kane king (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rain slips a jab and a cross from king.
Rain connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Rain throws a right hand that king ducks under and follows up with a left that king also avoids with ease.

Rain gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rain keeping moving, preventing king from controlling successfully.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

king stands up from guard. Let's bang!

king closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

king is looking for a kimura here.

king stands up and beckons Rain to join him on the feet.
Rain stuffs the takedown attempt from king. king gets slowly back to his feet.

king shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
No luck for king with that takedown attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Kane king has been cut.
Rain tries to bum rush king with a series of wild strikes but king uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
king shoots in but Rain avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Aldo Rain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kane king.
Rain lands a right hook to the body.

Rain rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but king moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
king ducks right into an uppercut from Rain.
Rain stuns king with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Rain lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Rain lands a lovely overhand right.
Rain throws a series of punches but king avoids them all with ease.
king gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Rain scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Rain lands a jab to the nose.
Rain throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and king counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rain!
Rain tries to hold on but king postures up.
king lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rain can't escape the position.

king looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
king throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Rain is trying desperately to improve position.

king is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rain can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Poor strikes thrown by king there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

king wants to control the pace but Rain is squirming around nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Aldo Rain will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Rain goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rain throws a combination but it was largely blocked by king.
Rain scores with a one two! king had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

king looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rain!
king throwing strikes here but Rain is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

king looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Rain tries to lock up and control but king gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

king has hold of Rain's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rain manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kane king showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Rain throws out a loose jab but king uses good head movement to avoid it.

king tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no king has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Rain sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

king loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

king is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rain is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rain has escaped and now he's on top!
