The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowery lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Lowery rushes Barber and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Lowery lands a hook to the side of the head.
Barber blocking some punches.
A short uppercut from Lowery.
Lowery softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Lowery misses with a short punch on the inside.
Lowery is working Barber over against the cage.
Lowery misses with a hook from the clinch.
Barber has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lowery after a bit of a struggle.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Lowery.
A frustrated look appears on Barber's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Barber had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lowery defends it easily.

Barber escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lowery gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lowery is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Lowery lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

It looks like Brennan Barber has been cut.

Barber shoots in and bounces Lowery off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Lowery wants to sweep but no luck.

Barber drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barber jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lowery has control of Barber's left arm, preventing Barber from doing any damage.
Barber postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lowery rushes Barber and presses him up against the cage.

Lowery lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Barber is looking to take this one to the mat.
Lowery stops a takedown attempt from Barber.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lowery lands a hook that snaps the head of Barber backwards.

Lowery lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Oh Barber is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lowery dips a shoulder and cracks Barber with a mighty uppercut! Barber falls back against the cage and Lowery unloads with a barrage of strikes! Barber is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Lowery screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
