The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcpherson throws a sloppy head kick and Crescenzo moves out of range easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Crescenzo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mcpherson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Crescenzo's guard.
Crescenzo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mcpherson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Crescenzo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mcpherson has managed to get both his arms back between Crescenzo's legs - danger averted.
Mcpherson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crescenzo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Crescenzo holds on and takes a little breather.
Crescenzo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mcpherson wanted to stand there but Crescenzo had control of the position.
Mcpherson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crescenzo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

He's locked it up tight! Mcpherson's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Crescenzo picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
