Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hot Water (ranked 2112 p4p, 2605 weight class) and Deuce McWrestler (ranked 118 p4p, 155 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McWrestler fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Water looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
McWrestler misses with a body shot.
Water appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
McWrestler looks to land a right hand but Water moved out of range.
Water looks to land a left hand but McWrestler moved out of range nicely.

Water throws a jab but it's blocked by McWrestler.

Water has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Roosters Coop in the buildup to the fight.

Water takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Water bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McWrestler's head backwards.
McWrestler uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Water.

McWrestler throws a hook but Water avoids it easily.

Water throws a lazy right hand but McWrestler sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Water's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McWrestler connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Water scrambles back to his feet.

Hot Water is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That has opened up Deuce McWrestler's cut even more.
Water displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McWrestler throws out the jab.
Water throws a counter high kick but McWrestler was just alert enough to avoid it.
McWrestler darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
McWrestler thuds his right hand into Water's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Water throws a leg kick but McWrestler sees it coming and checks it nicely.
McWrestler tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

It looked like Water wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
McWrestler misses with a left hand
and Water counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
McWrestler shoots in for a takedown but Water shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Water looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Hot Water has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deuce McWrestler.

McWrestler has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McWrestler there as he acknowledges the shot.

Water looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Water's corner calls for a 1-2. Water obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

The cut above Deuce McWrestler's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
McWrestler misses with an uppercut.
McWrestler throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Water fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches McWrestler on the side of the head.
McWrestler connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Water momentarily.
McWrestler uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Water has time to react.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hot Water will probably get the nod.

Water connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

McWrestler closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Water explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and McWrestler counters with a single leg into guard. Water didn't expect that.
McWrestler is looking to work some ground and pound but Water has wrist control.
McWrestler throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Water works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McWrestler slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

McWrestler wants to control from the top but Water keeps moving.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Water misses with a hook. McWrestler ducked under it nicely.

Water thuds his right hand into McWrestler's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Hot Water has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deuce McWrestler.

A slapping leg kick lands for Water.
McWrestler dives in and grabs Water's left leg, looking for a takedown. Water pushes down on McWrestler's head and hops out.
Water swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Water takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

McWrestler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Water but Water pushes him off and we're back to square one.

McWrestler uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Water.

Deuce McWrestler's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Water stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Water wants it to stay on the feet.
McWrestler shoots in for a double leg but Water sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Water counters with a crisp right hand that drops McWrestler! Water lets McWrestler back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Deuce McWrestler's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Hot Water really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Hawaii Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
