Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuya Kazama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Darnell Jefferson!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jefferson has managed to clinch.
Kazama wants to break the clinch but can't.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Jefferson.
Jefferson has Kazama pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kazama manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Jefferson misses with a hook from the clinch.

Jefferson tries to break the clinch but Kazama is controlling the position.
A frustrated look appears on Kazama's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Jefferson can't break the clinch.

Kazama's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jefferson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kazama avoids it really well and circles away.
Kazama cracks Jefferson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kazama tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jefferson swivels and escapes.
Jefferson tries to clinch but Kazama is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jefferson blocks a jab.
A combination from Kazama does no damage.
Kazama throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jefferson.
Jefferson wants to clinch up but Kazama keeps it at a distance.
Jefferson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A slow jab from Jefferson misses its intended target.
Jefferson tries to clinch but Kazama moves out of range.
Jefferson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kazama.
Kazama fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Jefferson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kazama was covering up waiting for the punch and Jefferson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kazama manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jefferson manages to get himself to full guard.

Jefferson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kazama doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kazama manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jefferson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kazama works a leg free and moves into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Still in half guard, Kazama seems content to control.
Kazama's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Kazama wants to stand up but Jefferson has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Jefferson is looking to improve his position.
Jefferson is controlling Kazama's trapped leg to prevent Kazama from advancing to side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jefferson trying to hold on to Kazama's head to control him but Kazama postures up.
Kazama prevents Jefferson from improving his position.
Jefferson is trying to control but can't.

Kazama stands up from half guard.

Kazama gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jefferson pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kazuya Kazama dominated that round.
That's time! Kazama's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Jefferson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Kazama rushes Jefferson and presses him up against the cage.
Jefferson wants to stall.

Kazama breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jefferson closes the distance but Kazama moves to the side
and Kazama counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kazama drops Jefferson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Jefferson looks back up at him and smiles so Kazama waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Jefferson is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kazama connects with a superb combination that knocks Jefferson out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Kazama before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Jefferson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kazuya Kazama!
