Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Steel Iii (ranked 2069 p4p, 2135 weight class) and Nikora Tama (ranked 122 p4p, 118 weight class). Tama has chosen Haka War Dance as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Steel Iii!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikora Tama!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tama swings widly with a right hand
and Steel Iii connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Nikora Tama has been cut.
Alex Steel Iii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steel Iii tries to bum rush Tama with a series of wild strikes but Tama uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tama doesn't manage to clinch there - Steel Iii circles away.
Steel Iii is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tama.

Tama closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Steel Iii quickly recovers to half guard.
Steel Iii is positioning himself well to prevent Tama advancing to mount.

My spies in Final Mile inform me that Tama has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Tama is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Steel Iii is just riding it out for now. Tama eventually gives up the hold.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Steel Iii is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Steel Iii takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Tama is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Steel Iii's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Steel Iii's back!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
