Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Per Aukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Mulligan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aukko pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Mulligan sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Aukko to the ground! Mulligan dives into full mount looking to finish!

Aukko is rocked!

It looks like Per Aukko has been cut.

Mulligan jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Aukko manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Oh Aukko is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Aukko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mulligan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mulligan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Aukko wants to get back to his feet.

Aukko jabs Mulligan right on the nose. Mulligan blinks but takes it well.
Mulligan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mulligan shoots in but Aukko avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mulligan throws a half hearted mid kick.

Aukko wants to clinch up but Mulligan keeps it at a distance.
Mulligan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mulligan tries to clinch but Aukko moves out of range.

Aukko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mulligan, pushing him back against the cage.
Aukko is trying to maintain a safe position but Mulligan gets an underhook and turns Aukko into the cage.
Aukko lands a damaging elbow.

Per Aukko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mickey Mulligan.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Aukko.
Mulligan tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Aukko's elbow.

and Aukko makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Mulligan tries to score a body lock takedown but Aukko shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Mulligan works on Aukko's body with a couple of short punches.

Aukko has a couple of punches blocked by Mulligan.

Mulligan manages to break the clinch.
Aukko swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Mulligan misses with a few strikes there.
Mulligan throws a sloppy head kick and Aukko moves out of range easily.
Mulligan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Mulligan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Aukko counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Mulligan tries a head kick but it misses.
Aukko takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Mulligan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Aukko manages to avoid it.

Aukko moves into the clinch.
Mulligan throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Aukkos head.
Aukko lands with a short shot to the head.
Mulligan wants to get back to striking at distance but Aukko won't allow it.
Aukko lands an elbow just above Mulligan 's eye.
Mulligan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Aukko pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Mulligan wants to break free but Aukko has control.

Mulligan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Aukko has him pressed against the cage.

Mulligan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mickey Mulligan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mulligan cracks Aukko with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Aukko tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Mulligan pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Aukko is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
