And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Republic moves into range and connects with a jab.
Republic takes a swing at Sampson's ribcage but misses.
Republic just misses with a punch to the body.
Sampson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Republic momentarily.
It looks like Banana Republic has been cut.
Republic looks to land a right hand but Sampson moved out of range.
Republic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Republic takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sampson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Republic lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

The crowd cheers as Republic lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sampson doesn't seem phased though.

It looked like Sampson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Republic on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Sampson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Republic chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sampson can pounce on him.

and Republic takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That has opened up Banana Republic's cut even more.
Republic takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Republic waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sampson.
Republic throws a sloppy body shot
and Sampson counters with a huge head kick that drops Republic! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
