Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chief Tecumseh (ranked 3135 p4p, 3443 weight class) and Maximillian Ewing (ranked 321 p4p, 360 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chief Tecumseh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Maximillian Ewing!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ewing clinches with his opponent.
Ewing is looking for a takedown.
Ewing creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Ewing looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tecumseh has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ewing avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Ewing has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Tecumseh is trying to keep an underhook but Ewing manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Ewing content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Still in half guard, Ewing seems content to control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
It looks like Ewing might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Ewing gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Tecumseh drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ewing gets underhooks to prevent Tecumseh's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chief Tecumseh. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tecumseh goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ewing prevents it.
Ewing is trying to drag Tecumseh to the mat but Tecumseh just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ewing tries for a takedown but Tecumseh manages to get underhooks.
Tecumseh changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ewing fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tecumseh shoots in but no luck this time.

Ewing bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ewing is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tecumseh will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Ewing decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Tecumseh shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ewing pinned against the cage. Ewing gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ewing feints the counter takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ewing manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tecumseh on his heels. He'll look to pass Tecumseh's guard now, I'm sure.
Ewing is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Ewing lying in Tecumseh's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Tecumseh decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Ewing taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Chief Tecumseh!
Chief Tecumseh seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
