And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Caleb DeCoteau!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeCoteau looks to land a combination but King avoids it well.
King was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that DeCoteau has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
King throws an ugly left hook that misses
and DeCoteau counters with a lovely straight right hand!

We've been told by King's head coaches at Tran MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
DeCoteau jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Klayton King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches DeCoteau on the side of the head.
A slapping leg kick lands for DeCoteau.

King throws an uppercut from half a mile away. DeCoteau sees it coming and avoids it easily.

King has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by DeCoteau.

King throws a jab when DeCoteau was well out of range.

DeCoteau gets in close and instigates a clinch.
DeCoteau blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
DeCoteau tries to score a body lock takedown but King shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
DeCoteau jumps guard but King turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.

DeCoteau manages to pull guard.
King has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

DeCoteau escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. King gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
King wants to pass the guard but DeCoteau is keeping the position.

King is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

DeCoteau is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
