Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Flynn Silva (ranked 4630 p4p, 5168 weight class) and Ted Ashbrock (ranked 228 p4p, 252 weight class). Ted Ashbrock has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Flynn Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ted Ashbrock!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashbrock misses the shot to the body.
Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ashbrock looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ashbrock throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silva half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Ted Ashbrock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ashbrock lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ashbrock misses with a double jab.
Ashbrock throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Silva throws a lazy right hand but Ashbrock sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
As Silva backs off Ashbrock throws a huge counter combo but Silva manages to avoid it all.
Ashbrock looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
It looks like Ted Ashbrock has been cut.
Ashbrock throws a head kick that misses
so Silva counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silva wants to pass the guard but Ashbrock is keeping the position.
Ashbrock looks winded!
Silva forces his way into half guard.

Silva is nestled in close to Ashbrock, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Silva has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Silva frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

BOOM! Silva connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Silva cracks Ashbrock with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ashbrock's face.

Silva softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Ashbrock is out cold! Silva jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Flynn Silva!
After winning the bout, Flynn Silva thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
