Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean Arlin (ranked 5729 p4p, 4953 weight class) and Brennan Calhoun (ranked 500 p4p, 464 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jean Arlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brennan Calhoun!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calhoun misses with a hook
enabling Arlin to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Brennan Calhoun has been cut.
Arlin lunges at Calhoun with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Calhoun's hand.
Arlin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Calhoun closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Arlin scores with a shot to the body.
Calhoun tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Arlin was well out of range. Poor timing from Calhoun.
Arlin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Calhoun shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Calhoun showed some decent athleticism there.
Calhoun slips a nice elbow through Arlin's hands, connecting with Arlin's forehead.

Arlin wants to control but Calhoun is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Calhoun looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Arlin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Calhoun drops an elbow to the side of Arlin's head.
Calhoun looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Arlin wants to get back to his feet.
Calhoun takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Calhoun in particular looking to stall.
Calhoun working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Arlin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Arlin is looking to improve his position but Calhoun isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A combination from Calhoun does no damage.
Arlin cracks Calhoun with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Arlin drops Calhoun with a beautiful combination! Calhoun stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Arlin is looking for the KO!
That has opened up Brennan Calhoun's cut even more.

Arlin lands a big uppercut and Calhoun crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Calhoun looks OK. Arlin waves Calhoun back to his feet!

and Calhoun takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Arlin circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Calhoun to the canvas! Calhoun doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Arlin keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
