Farley turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Farley manages to end up in side control.

Farley tries to bum rush Shiangeman with a series of wild strikes but Shiangeman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Farley closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Farley has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Farley manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Farley wants the takedown. Shiangeman is fighting it off but Farley persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Shiangeman's guard against the cage.

Farley stands up and waves to Shiangeman to follow him.
Damon Farley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shiangeman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Farley is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Shiangeman with a body shot.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shiangeman enables Farley to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shiangeman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Farley stands and steps away. Shiangeman gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
