Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Curtis Tate Iii (ranked 23288 p4p, 22848 weight class) and Tommy Gunn (ranked 394 p4p, 432 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 48 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curtis Tate Iii!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Tate Iii tries to bum rush Gunn with a series of wild strikes but Gunn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tate Iii sets himself, and Gunn steps forward looking for the clinch! Tate Iii avoids it this time.
Gunn throws a head kick but Tate Iii moves out of range.
Tate Iii was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Gunn throws a jab but it's blocked by Tate Iii.
Tate Iii throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gunn lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Curtis Tate Iii has been cut.
Gunn goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Gunn takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tate Iii avoids the head kick by Gunn.
Gunn throws a sloppy head kick
and Tate Iii counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Tate Iii bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
It looks like Tommy Gunn has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gunn throws the kick towards the body but Tate Iii avoids it.
Tate Iii stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gunn.
Tate Iii scores with a jab to the body.
Tate Iii throws a right hand that Gunn ducks under and follows up with a left that Gunn also avoids with ease.
Tate Iii is looking to wear down Gunn with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tate Iii swings for the body but Gunn moves out of range.
Gunn connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gunn scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Gunn throws a leg kick that is checked
and Tate Iii counters with a series of strikes. Gunn will be more careful next time no doubt.
Tate Iii swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gunn.
Gunn looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gunn throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tate Iii.
Gunn throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tate Iii on the side of the head.
Tate Iii cracks Gunn with a right hand to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A low kick lands for Gunn.
Tate Iii tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Gunn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tate Iii.
Left hook, right uppercut from Tate Iii.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tate Iii comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gunn lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Tate Iii throws a body punch but Gunn moves out of range.
Gunn is looking for the big counter here.
Tate Iii definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gunn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tate Iii catches Gunn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
No joy there for Tate Iii, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gunn lands a jab-cross combination.
Tate Iii lands with a nice body punch.
Gunn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tate Iii seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Tate Iii lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gunn backs up against the ropes.
Tate Iii connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Gunn onto his butt! Gunn bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.
That has opened up Tommy Gunn's cut even more.
Tate Iii scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Gunn to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Tate Iii away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Gunn got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!
Gunn is rocked!
Tate Iii closes the distance and catches Gunn with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Gunn is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Gunn is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Gunn is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Tate Iii takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Curtis Tate Iii!
