Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Ziyad closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ziyad lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ziyad makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ziyad thows a big elbow that misses.

Ziyad drops back looking for a leg! Doe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Doe manages to kick Ziyad off! Ziyad jumps back into Doe's guard.

Ziyad lands a couple of digs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Doe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Doe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ziyad on the ground.
Doe throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Ziyad drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ziyad jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Doe swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Ziyad is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Doe's half guard.
Doe tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Doe is defending against the submission attempts here by Ziyad.
Ziyad blocks the strikes from Doe.
Ziyad wants to control but Doe is keeping him busy.
Doe is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ziyad scores with a couple of nice shots.

Doe kicks off Ziyad and gets to his feet.
Ziyad shoots in looking for a takedown. Doe tries to sprawl out of it but Ziyad keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Doe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Doe uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ziyad keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Doe throws a right hand that Ziyad ducks under and follows up with a left that Ziyad also avoids with ease.

Ziyad scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Doe has hold of Ziyad's hands but Ziyad slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Ziyad has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Doe defend it? Ziyad steps over the head and cranks it - Doe is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ziyad!
