These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colon lands with an uppercut that bounces Hooper off the cage and back into range.
Hooper misses with a low kick.
Hooper throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hooper throws out a powerful jab.
James Colon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Colon avoids the body shot from Hooper.
Hooper is looking to score with low kicks.
Colon misses with a two punch combination.
Hooper scores with a jab. Colon acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

It looks like James Colon has been cut.

A looping hook to the body misses from Colon. Hooper does a little dance to reset his feet.
Colon checks the leg kick nicely there.
Hooper looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Hooper throws out a loose jab but Colon uses good head movement to avoid it.

Colon swings for the body but Hooper moves out of range.

Hooper drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Colon defends it well.
Hooper looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Hooper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A nice leg kick from Hooper, right into the meat of the thigh.
Hooper lands a nice shot to the body.
Hooper gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Colon.

Hooper is rocked!
Hooper swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hooper is still on wobbly legs! Can Colon finish him?
Colon is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Hooper hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
