The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stern throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McCain was covering up waiting for the punch and Stern finishes the takedown easily into guard.

McCain wants to get back to his feet but Stern is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Stern is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Stern throws a strike but McCain rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

McCain has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stern is proving hard to escape from.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stern is pulling down on McCain 's head. It's preventing any offense from McCain , at least for the moment.

and Stern counters with a big uppercut that knocks McCain off his feet! Stern dives into side control looking to finish!

McCain looks up at the clock. Bad move! Stern lands a right hand from hell, dropping McCain . Stern pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

A relieved looking Kip Stern thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
