Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chad Hammer (ranked 1411 p4p, 2352 weight class) and Roydell Gibbons (ranked 182 p4p, 271 weight class). Gibbons has chosen HonestKey- Raw Dog as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hammer throws a combination that misses
and Gibbons connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gibbons throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hammer sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hammer connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Gibbons scores with a jab to the head.
Hammer ducks under a wild hook from Gibbons.

Gibbons uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hammer.

Hammer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gibbons smiles and moves away.

Roydell Gibbons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hammer connects with the punch.

and Hammer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Hammer needs to keep his hands up - Gibbons had a free shot at his head there.

Hammer closes the distance and pushes Gibbons back into the cage.
Gibbons lands a nice uppercut.
Hammer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gibbons just stands there and leans against the cage.

I was talking to Hammer's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Hammer jumps guard and drags Gibbons to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Hammer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gibbons can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hammer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gibbons defends it easily.

Hammer has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Gibbons should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hammer has tightened it up now! Gibbons should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
