Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Lin (ranked 25437 p4p, 3980 weight class) and Mason Sheppard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Lin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mason Sheppard!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sheppard closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lin did well to prevent Sheppard getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lin is breathing heavily.
Ground and pound from Sheppard.
Sheppard lands strikes from half guard.

Sheppard stands up and beckons Lin to join him on the feet.

Sheppard feints and as Lin raises his hands in defense, Sheppard changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lin wants to get back to his feet but Sheppard passes into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sheppard decides to stand up.

Sheppard shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Lin pushes Sheppard off but Sheppard dives into side control.
Lin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Sheppard stands up.

Sheppard darts in and clinches Lin up against the cage.

Sheppard has Lin pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sheppard pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lin tumbling to the mat - Sheppard dives into Lin's guard.

Sheppard gets to his feet. Lin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Lin fails with an attempt to clinch.

Lin tries to sprawl but Sheppard drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Lin is trying to escape back to his feet but Sheppard uses the scramble to pass into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sheppard happy to just control the position for now.

Sheppard lands a decent elbow from side control.

Sheppard is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Sheppard stands up and beckons Lin to his feet.

Sheppard closes the distance and clinches.
Sheppard landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Sheppard wants the takedown. Lin is fighting it off but Sheppard persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lin's guard against the cage.

Sheppard is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Sheppard drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Sheppard as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Lin screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Sheppard! Nice submission victory there!
