Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hoodoo Brown (ranked 100 p4p, 521 weight class) and Yuuji Hoshino (ranked 8 p4p, 39 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Hoodoo Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Yuuji Hoshino!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hoshino sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Hoshino throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Brown's head.
Brown tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hoshino sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brown somewhat.

Hoshino told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Hoshino gets to his feet. Brown looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Hoshino is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Brown presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Brown has Hoshino pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Brown pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hoshino tumbling to the mat - Brown dives into Hoshino's guard.

Brown is trying to trip Hoshino. He has hold of a leg but Hoshino is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Brown persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Brown has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee warns Hoshino that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Poor strikes thrown by Brown there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Hoshino is bucking up trying to escape but Brown cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

You get the feeling that Hoshino really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Brown goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hoshino turns into him and now he's in Brown's guard.
Brown is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brown connects with a nice short shot to Hoshino's temple.
