Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buda King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asal Tolkem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tolkem is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Drunken Lullabies. Asal Tolkem looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Buda King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Asal Tolkem!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King defending well as Tolkem loads up on a big left hand.

King clinches up against the cage.
King is working for takedown but Tolkem is calmly controlling the position for now.
King gets underhooks to prevent Tolkem's takedown attempt.
Tolkem is trying to work for a single leg takedown but King pulls him back up using the underhooks.
King wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Tolkem tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. King just stands there and leans against the cage.
Buda King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Asal Tolkem.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

King works on Tolkem's body with a couple of short punches.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

King closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - King lands in his opponent's guard.
Tolkem wants to stand up but King is controlling him.
King slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
King misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
King connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tolkem some visible discomfort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

King has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Tolkem misses with a takedown
and King counters with a head kick. That will keep Tolkem thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
King closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by King!
King lands a nice hook to Tolkem's body. Tolkem takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
King swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Tolkem on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by King. King obviously looking to wear him down.

King drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
King scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Tolkem to see if he's OK.

King stands up and beckons Tolkem to his feet.

King throws a series of strikes that have Tolkem backpedaling.
Tolkem moves out of range as King throws a body kick.
King cracks Tolkem with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
King scores with a head kick.
King lands with a nice body punch.
Buda King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
King throws a head kick that half lands.
A head kick misses from King.
Tolkem shoots and misses
and King counters with a one-two to the body.
King lands a two punch combo.

King clinches up with Tolkem and pushes him back against the cage.

King breaks from the clinch.
King throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

King scores a takedown into full mount!
King can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tolkem is looking to escape.
Tolkem is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
King trying to control but he's not successful this time.
King tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Buda King dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Tolkem closes the distance looking to clinch

and King counters by clinching up.
Tolkem tries to break the clinch but King is controlling the position.
Tolkem tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

King turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and King manages to end up in side control.
King content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
King misses with the ground and pound.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

King tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Tolkem is trying to control King's posture but King avoids it.

King creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Tolkem sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

King decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Tolkem shoots in but no luck this time.
King throws a series of strikes that have Tolkem backpedaling.
Tolkem on the wrong end of a nice jab.

King lands with a thumping leg kick.
King scores with a hook to the body. Tolkem takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Tolkem doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
King scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

King shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
King tries to stand but can't do so whilst Tolkem controls his leg.

Tolkem tries to roll over but King keeps him under control.

King is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Tolkem!

Tolkem bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
King is trying to get back to full guard.
Tolkem is keen to just control but King is a slippery customer.

Tolkem wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
Tolkem has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of King is proving hard to escape from.
King lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tolkem!
King wants to control the action but instead Tolkem gets a body lock and reverses into King's guard! Nice work!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buda King dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Tolkem shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and King counters with a nice double leg into guard.

King stands and steps away. Tolkem gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
King works Tolkem's body with a nice hook.
King thuds his right hand into Tolkem's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
King misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
King lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
King fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

King instigates a clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tolkem trying to control the position but instead, King has worked for underhooks and has pushed Tolkem into the cage.
King tries to break the clinch but Tolkem is controlling the position.

King breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

King closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Tolkem tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Buda King overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Tolkem wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
King working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

King stands up and beckons Tolkem to his feet.

Tolkem shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

King wants to control but Tolkem is keeping busy.
King is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tolkem in particular looking to stall.
King is trying to maintain the position but Tolkem is very close to passing his half guard.
King wants to get back to full guard.

Tolkem wants to get back to his feet.
King looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
King throws a leg kick that misses.
King misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Tolkem gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
King trying to control but Tolkem is working from the bottom.
Tolkem is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
King working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

King decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
King ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tolkem moves away.
King will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Tolkem fails in his attempt to clinch.

King moves into range and clinches up with Tolkem.
King is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
King has Tolkem pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tolkem manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Tolkem breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Asal Tolkem has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Buda King is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Tolkem throws a sloppy head kick
and King counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Buda King showed his dominance in that final round.
Well King has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
