The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Petrov connects with a right hand. Salvacion shakes it off.
Petrov lands a nice shot that snaps Salvacion's head back.
Petrov works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Petrov throws a head kick but Salvacion moves out of range.

Petrov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Petrov working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Petrov has hold of Salvacion's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Salvacion tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Petrov cranks the arm and Salvacion screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Salvacion, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
