Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jens Ryden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Morales!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryden jabs Morales right on the nose. Morales blinks but takes it well.
Ryden tests Morales's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Morales shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ryden as he avoids it easily.

Morales gets tackled into the cage by Ryden. Ryden maintains the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Ryden.
A bit of stalling here from Ryden.
Ryden prevents Morales from breaking the clinch.

Ryden manages to break the clinch.
No joy there for Morales, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ryden was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ryden scores with a crisp jab that stopped Morales in his tracks.
Ryden moves out of range as Morales throws a body kick.
Ryden lands a lovely overhand right.
Ryden swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Morales doesn't manage to clinch there - Ryden circles away.
Ryden cracks a nice hook into Morales's ribs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ryden throws a nice looking combination but Morales bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Morales takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Ryden has managed to clinch.

Ryden is working Morales over against the cage.

Ryden lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Morales backwards.

Come on Ryden - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Morales jumps guard and drags Ryden to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Ryden knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Morales on the ground.

Ryden controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Ryden sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Morales's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ryden has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Morales works to full guard.

Ryden sitting in guard here, content to control.
Ryden wants to control from the top but Morales keeps moving.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ryden wants to get up but he can't break Morales's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Ryden slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ryden throws a one two combo.
Jens Ryden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ryden fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Morales, pushing him back against the cage.

Morales is trying to pull guard but Ryden has him pressed against the cage.
Ryden lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Morales is trying to drag Ryden to the mat but Ryden just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jens Ryden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Morales.
Morales wants a takedown.
Ryden lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Ryden will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Morales up against the cage.
Ryden is pressed up against the cage. Morales has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ryden down to the mat. Ryden avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ryden lands with a good body shot.
Ryden dips to his left and cracks Morales with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Morales gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ryden.

Morales tries to keep at a distance but Ryden has taken the fight into the clinch.
Morales wants to break free but Ryden has control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Morales shoots for a double leg takedown but Ryden sprawls well. He's pushed Morales's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ryden connects with a body shot that sends Morales's belly button to the back.
Ryden scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Ryden moves into the clinch.
Morales is trying to stall.
Ryden is pushing Morales up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Morales's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Ryden breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ryden scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Ryden closes the distance and clinches.
The referee is keeping an eye on Ryden - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Ryden fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Ryden clobbers Morales with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Ryden forces Morales back against the cage and clinches.
Morales jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ryden walks away with a smile on his face. Morales gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ryden lands a jab-cross combination.

Ryden stuns Morales with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ryden scores with a nice head shot.

Morales is rocked!
Jens Ryden is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ryden throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Morales walks into a straight right hand from Ryden.
Morales is still on wobbly legs! Can Ryden finish him?
Ryden lands an overhand right.
Ryden throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Morales stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Morales takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Ryden cracks Morales with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ryden throws a right hand that Morales ducks under and follows up with a left that Morales also avoids with ease.

Morales has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Ryden lands a hook that snaps the head of Morales backwards.
Ryden stalling.
Morales tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ryden smiles and moves away.
Morales seems to have recovered his senses.
Jens Ryden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Morales.

Ryden lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Ryden moves into the clinch successfully.
Ryden lands a hook that snaps the head of Morales backwards.
Ryden lands a shot to the body.
Morales takes a shot to the head.

Ryden breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ryden fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Morales takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Jens Ryden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ryden jabs Morales right on the nose. Morales blinks but takes it well.
Ryden is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Morales can do to turn this around?

Morales tries a knee to the head but Ryden blocks it.
Morales prevents a body shot from Ryden.
Morales has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ryden avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Ryden scores with a nice short uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Ryden.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Ryden.
Ryden is working Morales over against the cage.
Ryden avoiding damage.
Ryden lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Ryden content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Ryden stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Morales takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A jab lands there for Ryden.
Ryden lands a hook that stumbles Morales back into the cage. Ryden follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Morales to the canvas! Ryden pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Morales has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
