Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gage Mickey (ranked 345 p4p, 1582 weight class) and Vino Kourov (ranked 28 p4p, 131 weight class). Kourov is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: COME ON. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kourov looks to land a left hand but Mickey moved out of range nicely.
Mickey bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Kourov sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Kourov moves forwards but Mickey connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kourov might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Mickey and Kourov are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Mickey throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Kourov into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Mickey knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
