Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jalo Ilmarinen (ranked 608 p4p, 1251 weight class) and Ruslan Beznisko (ranked 89 p4p, 170 weight class). Beznisko has chosen JANE AIR — Junk as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ruslan Beznisko!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beznisko shoots for a takedown but Ilmarinen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Beznisko throws an off balance right hand
and Ilmarinen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ilmarinen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Beznisko.
Beznisko scores with the left hand. Ilmarinen knows he should have avoided that one.

Ilmarinen closes the distance and pushes Beznisko back into the cage.
Ilmarinen lands a body punch in the clinch.
Beznisko is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Beznisko has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A short left from Ilmarinen.
Ilmarinen is pressed up against the cage. Beznisko has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ilmarinen down to the mat. Ilmarinen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jalo Ilmarinen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ruslan Beznisko.
Ilmarinen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ilmarinen lands a jab to Beznisko's midsection.
Good exchange - Ilmarinen coming out on top.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Ilmarinen counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
