The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan tries to close the distance and clinch up but emelianenko swats him away and circles back towards the center.
emelianenko tries to clinch there but Chan circles away.
Chan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No joy there for emelianenko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
emelianenko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chan circles away quickly and effectively.
Chan falls off balance throwing a combination

and emelianenko counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Chan manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Chan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. emelianenko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. emelianenko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Chan looking for a guillotine here but emelianenko defends easily.
emelianenko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

emelianenko could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
emelianenko has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Chan is proving hard to escape from.

emelianenko is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Chan has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. emelianenko is looking to defend but Chan has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for emelianenko! Chan pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, emelianenko taps out and this one is all over!
