PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rickson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mr brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). brown is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by yes. mr brown told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rickson Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, mr brown!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
brown throws a combination. Gracie tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Rickson Gracie has been cut.

brown shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracie's guard.

brown is looking to work some ground and pound but Gracie has wrist control.

brown wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.
brown sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gracie's guard.

Gracie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. brown is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

brown is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gracie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. brown is working away from the top position though.
brown works his foot free and advances to mount.
brown landing strikes from the mount.

Gracie is trying desperately to improve position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, brown cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
brown cracks Gracie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Oh Gracie is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The referee warns Gracie that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

brown postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Gracie in real trouble here! The ref calls for Gracie to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
