Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro De La Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Punch Rockgroin II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Alejandro De La Souza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Punch Rockgroin II!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockgroin II throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
De La Souza misses with a head kick.
Horrible takedown by Rockgroin II or perhaps it was just good defense by De La Souza which made him look bad.

Rockgroin II shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts De La Souza as he jumps to the side.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
De La Souza throws a quick inside leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
De La Souza will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Alejandro De La Souza is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rockgroin II shoots in for a double leg but De La Souza sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rockgroin II cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Rockgroin II jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… De La Souza is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by De La Souza and Rockgroin II has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

De La Souza has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rockgroin II is working away from the top position though.

Rockgroin II closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rockgroin II lands in his opponent's guard.
Rockgroin II sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed De La Souza's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alejandro De La Souza.
I think De La Souza has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
