Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aleksander Kazimierz (ranked 2524 p4p, 4221 weight class) and Gordon Masten (ranked 188 p4p, 273 weight class). Chooooooooon! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 36 - 2, fighting out of London, Aleksander Kazimierz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gordon Masten!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kazimierz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kazimierz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Masten stops Kazimierz from passing to mount.

Kazimierz is trying to get an arm triangle but Masten is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kazimierz controls the position.
Masten is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kazimierz connects with a decent elbow.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Masten can do anything to dispel that myth.

Masten really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kazimierz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kazimierz decides to stand back up. Kazimierz steps back and let's Masten get back to his feet.

Kazimierz darts in and clinches Masten up against the cage.

Masten gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kazimierz regains guard.

Masten tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Kazimierz is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Masten has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Kazimierz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Kazimierz breaks from Masten's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Kazimierz wants to take Masten's back here but Masten is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Kazimierz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Masten is looking to escape.
Masten is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Masten trying desperately to get to his feet.

Kazimierz is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Masten can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Poor strikes thrown by Kazimierz there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Kazimierz is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Masten is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Masten flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Kazimierz anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Masten and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Kazimierz slips an arm under Masten chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Kazimierz has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Kazimierz is squeezing on Masten like an anaconda would it's prey. Masten fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Aleksander Kazimierz!
Aleksander Kazimierz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
