Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Pegg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Mayhew!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Mayhew counters with a series of strikes that sends Pegg to the canvas! Mayhew follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mayhew would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Pegg wants to stand and escape but Mayhew is having none of it.

Pegg drops his shoulder and cracks Mayhew with a huge uppercut! Mayhew goes down! Can Pegg finish him?

Pegg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mayhew swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mayhew wants to stand and escape but Pegg is having none of it.

Pegg wants to control from the top but Mayhew keeps moving.
Mayhew working for submissions but it's allowed Pegg to get to half guard.
Pegg is looking to take a break and control but Mayhew is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mayhew is trying to stand.
Pegg decides to return to a standing position.
Mayhew takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Mayhew takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Pegg takes the fight into the clinch.

Mayhew scores with a one two! Pegg had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Simon Pegg has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pegg lands a nice hook to Mayhew's body. Mayhew takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Mayhew drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mayhew stands up and waves to Pegg to follow him.
Mayhew throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pegg scores with a nice right hand.
Mayhew shoots in but Pegg avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Pegg dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pegg throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mayhew stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Pegg is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Mayhew shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pegg as he avoids it easily.
Simon Pegg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Mayhew.
Pegg moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Simon Pegg is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice straight punches there by Pegg. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Pegg.
Mayhew darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pegg throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Mayhew decides to stand and escape the position.
Pegg is looking to clinch but Mayhew is avoiding it.
Mayhew throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pegg counters with a head kick.
Mayhew feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mayhew stands up and waves to Pegg to follow him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pegg takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Pegg is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Pegg lunges at Mayhew with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mayhew's hand.
Pegg throws a right and a left that Mayhew avoids nicely.
Pegg misses with a few strikes there.
Mayhew moves into range and clinches up with Pegg.
Mayhew wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mayhew is trying to break the clinch but Pegg has him pressed against the cage.
Pegg breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pegg avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mayhew takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pegg scores with the left hand. Mayhew knows he should have avoided that one.
Mayhew misses with a series of wild punches.
Pegg is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Peter Mayhew will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Simon Pegg's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Pegg connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mayhew misses with a takedown attempt - Pegg sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Pegg drops Mayhew with a straight right hand, right on the button! Pegg follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
