The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sergio drives through with a takedown into guard.
Davids keeping full guard, as Sergio tries to pass.
Davids utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Davids throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Sergio trying to control the position from guard on top but Davids is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sergio drops back looking for a leg! Davids is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Davids manages to kick Sergio off! Sergio jumps back into Davids's guard.
Davids is looking for a triangle but Sergio pushes his legs off easily.
Davids strikes from his own guard.
Sergio wants to pass the guard but Davids is keeping the position.
Sergio drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sergio jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Davids manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sergio keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Davids lands a big shot there that rocks Sergio but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Davids lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Davids postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Sergio bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Davids and the fight is over!
