Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Vann (ranked 4033 p4p, 4127 weight class) and Frank Footer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Calvin Vann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Footer!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Footer shoots in but no luck this time.
Left hook, right uppercut from Vann.

Footer gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vann to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Vann sitting in guard here, content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Footer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Footer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Vann working some strikes from top position.
Vann connects with a couple of short punches.
Vann passes into half guard.
Vann uses his free foot to push down on Footer's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Footer.
Vann blocks Footer's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Footer tries to improve his position but Vann has taken his back! Vann has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Footer tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Vann pushes Footer away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
