The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabre Jr misses with a leg kick.
Sabre Jr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cool attempts a counter takedown but Sabre Jr avoids it well and moves away.
Cool works over Sabre Jr's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Zack Sabre Jr has been cut.
A head kick from Sabre Jr lands but Cool takes it in his stride.

Cool misses with a takedown attempt - Sabre Jr sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cool fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sabre Jr manages to avoid it.
Zack Sabre Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cool misses with a hook to the ribs.

Cool blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Cool jumps guard and drags Sabre Jr to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Cool has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sabre Jr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sabre Jr postures up in Cool's guard and throws a big left but Cool blocks it.
Cool seems keen to control Sabre Jr's posture.
Sabre Jr tries to stand but Cool is controlling from the bottom.

Cool wants to sweep here but Sabre Jr controlling him for the moment.

Cool tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Cool has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Sabre Jr wanted to stand there but Cool had control of the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sabre Jr looking to sit in guard and control but Cool gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sabre Jr controls Cool momentarily but Cool frees himself.
Sabre Jr is pulling down on Cool's head. It's preventing any offense from Cool, at least for the moment.
Cool is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
