The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Ioannou cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Ahola lands a stunning uppercut that sends Ioannou to the mat!

It looks like Luke Ioannou has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ahola escapes and gets back to his feet.

Ioannou feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ioannou gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Ahola gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

A very excited looking Jouka Ahola rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
