Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Thomas Babcock (ranked 580 p4p, 1341 weight class) and Paulo Mendes (ranked 82 p4p, 175 weight class). Babcock comes to the cage accompanied by 70. The crowd seem to be enjoying Mendes's choice of entrance music: Future - Last Breath. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesse Thomas Babcock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paulo Mendes!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babcock keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mendes.
Mendes misses with a looping right.
Mendes is trying hard to land a takedown here. Babcock sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Babcock catches Mendes with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Babcock throws an ugly left hook that misses

Mendes shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Babcock is trying to defend but Mendes finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
