PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ex Zee (ranked 4191 p4p, 5802 weight class) and Quinten Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ex Zee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quinten Hendricks!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hendricks closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Hendricks.
Hendricks looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Zee is breathing heavily.

Hendricks wants the takedown. Zee is fighting it off but Hendricks persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Zee's guard against the cage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hendricks is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Hendricks avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Hendricks stands and steps away. Zee gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Zee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hendricks tries to avoid it but Zee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hendricks to the ground. Hendricks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Zee closes the distance and clinches up with Hendricks, looking for a takedown. Zee pushes Hendricks against the cage but Hendricks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hendricks's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
It looks like Hendricks might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Zee shoots in for a takedown but Hendricks shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Zee is trying to pull guard but Hendricks turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Hendricks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Zee was covering up waiting for the punch and Hendricks finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hendricks not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Well Hendricks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
