Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paul Eclaro (ranked 637 p4p, 737 weight class) and Big Daddy (ranked 50 p4p, 57 weight class). Eclaro comes to the cage accompanied by I'm The Boy. Big Daddy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Eclaro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Big Daddy!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daddy staying out of range there.
Daddy misses with an uppercut
and Eclaro counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Daddy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Eclaro passes to full mount!
Daddy is looking to improve his position but Eclaro isn't that keen on the idea.
Eclaro thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Daddy blocking the ground and pound.
Eclaro has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Eclaro goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Daddy is on top in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Eclaro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Eclaro had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Daddy defends it easily.
Eclaro looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Eclaro has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Daddy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Eclaro wants to sweep but no luck.
Eclaro is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Eclaro avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Daddy is looking to work some ground and pound but Eclaro has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Daddy landing with the ground and pound.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Daddy working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Eclaro lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Eclaro works over Daddy with some ground and pound from guard.
Daddy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Eclaro is one step ahead there.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Eclaro works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Eclaro wants to pass the guard but Daddy is defending well.
Eclaro is trying to control the action in half guard but Daddy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Daddy is pressing down on Eclaro's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Eclaro postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Daddy wants to sweep but no luck.

Eclaro is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Daddy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Daddy wants to control but Eclaro postures up.

Daddy is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Eclaro is staying active.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eclaro in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Daddy tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Eclaro wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Sloppy strikes there by Eclaro.
Daddy regains half guard, as Eclaro was trying to land strikes.
Daddy gets back to full guard.
Eclaro throws a big right hand that misses.
Daddy can't keep his opponent in guard - Eclaro advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Daddy wants to get back to full guard.

Eclaro is looking to advance position but Daddy won't allow it.
Eclaro thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Daddy's head.
Eclaro is looking to stall here but Daddy recovers full guard.
Eclaro sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Daddy's guard.
Eclaro is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Daddy reverses the position - he's now on top in Eclaro's guard.
Eclaro wants to control but Daddy passes easily into half guard.
Eclaro tries to roll over but Daddy keeps him under control.
That's six minutes gone in the round.
Eclaro is staying active underneath Daddy, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Daddy connects with a nice short shot to Eclaro's temple.
Nice strikes from Daddy there.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Daddy lands a nice short elbow.
Eclaro is looking for a sweep. Daddy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Daddy moves into full mount! Eclaro won't be happy about that!
Eclaro wants to control but Daddy is having none of it.
Eclaro is wriggling around trying to escape.
Eclaro is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Eclaro bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's seven minutes gone in the round.
Eclaro lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Daddy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Daddy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Eclaro with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Eclaro slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Daddy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eclaro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Daddy has managed to get both his arms back between Eclaro's legs - danger averted.
Daddy is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Eclaro has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Daddy is looking to defend but Eclaro has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Daddy! Eclaro pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Daddy taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Paul Eclaro!
Paul Eclaro decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
