Key is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by HonestKey- The Unseen. Jaro Key acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jaro Key!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norseson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Key misses the shot to the body.
Key staying out of range there.
Nice body punch from Key.
Norseson lands a lovely overhand right.
Norseson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
And Key tries to counter it with a takedown but Norseson pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Key takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Norseson throws a looping overhand right but Key ducks down to avoid it.
Key feints the counter takedown.

and Norseson counters with a right hand to the body.
Norseson throws a jab but it's blocked by Key.

Norseson connects with a body shot that sends Key's belly button to the back.
Norseson throws a body punch but Key moves out of range.
Norseson lands with a nice body punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Norseson ducks under a wild hook from Key.

No joy there for Norseson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Key misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Norseson.
It looked like Norseson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A combination from Norseson does no damage.
Key blocks a jab.
Key ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Norseson moves away.
An attempted straight right counter from Norseson misses the target.
Hands Norseson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Key doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Norseson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Norseson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Key closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Norseson quickly recovers to half guard.
Key working over Norseson with some ground and pound. Norseson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Key is pressing down on Norseson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Norseson is holding on for now.
Norseson is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Key is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Norseson defends it well.

Key is taking a breather. Norseson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Key gets to mount! Norseson was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Norseson is squirming around, avoiding Key's attempts to control the action.
Norseson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Norseson tries to get out of the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Key jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Norseson manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Key has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Key scores with a couple of short elbows.
Norseson tries to bench press Key off him but Key keeps the position.

Norseson can't do much from the bottom here.
Norseson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Key on the ground.
Norseson is looking for a sweep.

Key is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Norseson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Key prevents Norseson from escaping the position.

Key has hold of Norseson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Norseson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Key cranks the arm and Norseson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Norseson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jaro Key!
After winning the bout, Jaro Key thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
