The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babcock looks for the body kick but Harris saw that one coming.
Harris lands a nice hook to Babcock's body. Babcock takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Babcock bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Babcock takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Harris misses with a body shot
and Babcock makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
The crowd cheers as Babcock lands an impressive looking overhand right. Harris doesn't seem phased though.

Babcock with the counter takedown but Harris avoids it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Babcock ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Babcock sends Harris crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Babcock is motioning to the referee to let Harris up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Harris is rocked!

It looks like Bastien Harris has been cut.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Babcock scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Harris doesn't seem bothered though.
Oh Harris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Babcock has cracked Harris with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Babcock lands another huge swinging hook and Harris tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Harris, before Babcock can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jim Babcock!
Jim Babcock is the new welterweight champion!
A relieved looking Jim Babcock thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
