Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joey Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Turner told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner tries for a takedown but Aldo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Aldo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Aldo stuffs the takedown.
Aldo misses with a takedown
and Turner counters by clinching up.
Aldo using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Turner has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Aldo just misses with a elbow thrown towards Turner's brow.
Aldo throws an elbow that misses.
Aldo gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Turner.
Joey Aldo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Turner.
Aldo lands an elbow that stopped Turner in his tracks for a moment.

Aldo connects with a knee to the head.
Aldo wants to break the clinch but can't.
With the fighters up against the cage, Aldo throws an elbow but misses.

and Turner counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Turner.
Turner slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Turner's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Turner wants to control from the top but Aldo keeps moving.
Turner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Turner won't allow Aldo to get back to his feet.

Turner passes into half guard.
Turner is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Aldo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Turner.

Turner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Turner throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Aldo has his hands clasped together but Turner breaks the hold and Aldo is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Turner!
