Niska clinches up with Nichols and pushes him back against the cage.
Niska using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Nichols has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

It looks like Sika Niska has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Niska is not content to let Nichols control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Niska is trying to buck Nichols off.

Nichols tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nichols has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Nichols wants to stand but Niska has his arm trapped.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nichols slows the pace down.
Niska is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nichols is controlling him well.

Nichols creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Niska sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Nichols decides to stand back up. Nichols steps back and let's Niska get back to his feet.
Niska takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Nichols tries to bum rush Niska with a series of wild strikes but Niska uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Niska fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nichols's corner calls for a 1-2. Nichols obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nichols is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Niska can do to turn this around?
Nichols tries to work over Niska's front leg with a kick but Niska checks it.
Nichols closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Niska out cold! Niska corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
