Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Cardoso (ranked 3188 p4p, 3392 weight class) and Calvin Vann (ranked 346 p4p, 366 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vann misses with a wild combination.
Cardoso jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cardoso definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Vann scores with a kick to the body.
Cardoso ducks under a wild hook from Vann.
Vann bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cardoso's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cardoso seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Cardoso seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vann does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Cardoso looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vann with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Cardoso is working Vann over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vann is trying to get back to his feet but Cardoso has full control of the position and if anything, Vann has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Vann is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Cardoso.

A helpless look comes across Vann 's face. He knows he's trapped as Cardoso lands a series of unanswered strikes. The ref steps in to stop the fight and this one is in the books!
