Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam McGuinness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Muscleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Muscleman acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Adam McGuinness!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Max Muscleman!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Muscleman clinches with his opponent.

Muscleman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Muscleman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. McGuinness can't fight it off and eventually Muscleman manages to take the fight to the floor. McGuinness looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Muscleman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Muscleman wants to control from the top but McGuinness keeps moving.
Muscleman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGuinness. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McGuinness is striking from the bottom but Muscleman uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

McGuinness is not content to let Muscleman control the position.
McGuinness wants to improve his position but Muscleman is controlling well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Muscleman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Muscleman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
McGuinness tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
McGuinness is holding on to half guard well.

McGuinness makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Muscleman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Muscleman seems to be working for a kimura but McGuinness defends the submission attempt.
Muscleman looks gassed!

McGuinness is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Muscleman trying to control the action but McGuinness is working from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Muscleman is looking to advance position but McGuinness won't allow it.

McGuinness looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
McGuinness wants to control but Muscleman is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Muscleman throws a series of strikes that have McGuinness backpedaling.

and Muscleman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

McGuinness drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Muscleman dives on top into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McGuinness manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
McGuinness is not content to let Muscleman control the position.

McGuinness has one foot on Muscleman's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

McGuinness looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
McGuinness throws a strike but Muscleman avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Muscleman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
McGuinness will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

McGuinness decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Muscleman, up you get!
Max Muscleman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Muscleman misses with a takedown attempt - McGuinness sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Adam McGuinness has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Muscleman.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Muscleman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McGuinness is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Muscleman, into his guard.

McGuinness has gone for a leg lock! Muscleman slips out almost immediately though and dives into McGuinness's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Muscleman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

McGuinness is pulling down on Muscleman's head to control his posture.
Muscleman works over McGuinness with some ground and pound from guard.
McGuinness is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
McGuinness avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Muscleman trying to control but McGuinness is working from the bottom.

McGuinness is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Muscleman wants to stand but McGuinness is controlling his posture from full guard.

Max Muscleman has got the better of the ground game so far.

Muscleman tries to stand but McGuinness is controlling from the bottom.

McGuinness has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Muscleman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Muscleman stands and steps away. McGuinness gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Muscleman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and McGuinness decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Muscleman's guard.
McGuinness wants to control from the top but Muscleman keeps moving.
McGuinness not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
McGuinness throws a big right hand that misses.
Adam McGuinness has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
McGuinness wants to stand but Muscleman has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
McGuinness trying to control the position from guard on top but Muscleman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adam McGuinness.
Well Muscleman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
