Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Frost (ranked 5725 p4p, 3346 weight class) and Quinten Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frost comes to the cage accompanied by Texas. Quinten Hendricks looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexander Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quinten Hendricks!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hendricks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Frost tries to avoid it but Hendricks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Frost to the ground. Frost escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Frost closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Frost leaning against his opponent.
Hendricks can't find room to land a body shot as Frost controls the action.
Hendricks is leaning against Frost and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Frost manages to break the clinch.
Hendricks tries to clinch up.
Frost throws a jab but it's blocked by Hendricks.

Frost is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hendricks's half guard.
Hendricks looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Frost decides to stand and escape the position.
Hendricks stuns Frost with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hendricks looks winded!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hendricks misses with a wild body shot.
Frost appears to be looking for a big counter.
Hendricks fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Frost closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hendricks's guard.
Hendricks is trying to keep Frost in close.
Hendricks can't keep his opponent in guard - Frost advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Frost perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Frost seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hendricks for as long as he can get away with.

Frost is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Frost seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hendricks with the active half guard here but Frost passes nicely into side control.

Frost decides to stand back up.
Frost fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Quinten Hendricks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hendricks dives in for a single leg takedown but Frost sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Frost manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hendricks on his heels. He'll look to pass Hendricks's guard now, I'm sure.
Hendricks is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Frost dives into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Frost will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hendricks is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Frost asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Frost has an Americana. Hendricks didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Frost is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Frost hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
