Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vern Vurris (ranked 2831 p4p, 2709 weight class) and Grizzley Adams (ranked 149 p4p, 142 weight class). Vern Vurris looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Adams.
Vurris half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Vurris showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Adams.

Adams closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Vurris is trying to control but can't.
Still in half guard, Adams seems content to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adams working over Vurris with some ground and pound. Vurris looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Vurris is breathing heavily.
Adams lands with a punch from half guard.
Adams is looking to take a break and control but Vurris is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adams working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Adams connects with a nice short shot to Vurris's temple.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Adams working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

After the fight, Grizzley Adams was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
