Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Suade Loc (ranked 5849 p4p, 5005 weight class) and Jovan Hopkins (ranked 425 p4p, 401 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Suade Loc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jovan Hopkins!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Loc closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Loc has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hopkins after a bit of a struggle.
Hopkins is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Hopkins avoiding damage.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Hopkins has eaten all the pies!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Loc is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Suade Loc. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Loc drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Hopkins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hopkins throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Loc tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hopkins is in Loc's guard.

Hopkins stands up from Loc's guard - Hopkins perhaps looking for a knockout.
Sloppy strikes from Hopkins. Those never looked like landing.
Hopkins darts in looking for a takedown but Loc gets double underhooks and turns Hopkins into the cage.

Loc has closed the distance and engaged Hopkins in a clinch.
Hopkins is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Loc gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Hopkins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Loc has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hopkins avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Loc changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hopkins fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Loc wants to clinch but Hopkins slips to the side

and Hopkins counters with a shoot takedown. Loc fights it but they end up in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Loc has his feet on Hopkins's thighs here. He's pushed Hopkins off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hopkins screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
