The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

West rushes Anderson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Anderson jumps guard and drags West to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

West drops down looking for an ankle pick but Anderson pulls his leg out and moves away.

West gets caught flat footed, as Anderson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

West stops Anderson from passing to mount.
Anderson takes a little break here. West wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Anderson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Anderson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
West managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Anderson.

West is trying to control Anderson's posture but Anderson avoids it.
West wants to get back to his feet.
Anderson is looking to take a break and control but West is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Anderson prevents West from escaping the position.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
West tries to buck Anderson off but Anderson is having none of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
West has his takedown stuffed
and Anderson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
West tries a head kick but it misses.

Anderson moves into the clinch successfully.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Anderson has clasped his hands together around West's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
West is looking for a sweep.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Anderson decides to stand back up. Anderson steps back and let's West get back to his feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

West pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
West tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Anderson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Anderson.
Anderson blocks a head kick by West.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown but West shows good takedown defense.
West half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
West jabs Anderson right on the nose. Anderson blinks but takes it well.
Blake West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Anderson moves forwards but West connects with a nice, crisp jab.

It looks like Bas Anderson has been cut.
West tries to clinch there but Anderson circles away.
Anderson counters with a body kick.
West moves out of range as Anderson throws a body kick.

Anderson dives in and scores a takedown into West's guard.

West kicks Anderson off and gets to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Anderson circles away from the clinch attempt.
West fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Anderson avoids it really well and circles away.
West looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Anderson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from West.
No luck for West with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Blake West. That's going to take a lot out of him.
West lands with a shot to the body.
West shoots in looking for a takedown but Anderson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing West's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

This has been an exciting period of action!
West fails with the takedown.
A countering left hand to the body from Anderson misses.
A combination from West does no damage.

Anderson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
West bucks up and tries to throw Anderson off but instead Anderson has got his back!
West manages to reverse the position and now he's in Anderson's guard. Nice work there by West.
Anderson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The cut man is working on Bas Anderson's cut.
That's time! West's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

West throws a series of punches but Anderson avoids them all with ease.
A nice leg kick from West, right into the meat of the thigh.
West throws a head kick that misses.
Anderson feints the counter takedown.
West throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Anderson's head.
West is looking to slow Anderson down with leg kicks.
West scores with a sloppy right hand. Anderson should have avoided that one.

West tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Anderson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Anderson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Anderson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. West tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Anderson is in West's guard.

Anderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and West has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anderson has managed to get both his arms back between West's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anderson won't let West get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Anderson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Anderson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
West wants to control but Anderson is having none of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
West tries to hold on but Anderson pushes him away.
Anderson misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Bas Anderson.
I think Anderson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
