Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Omari Morales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stanley Wagon!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagon swings widly with a right hand
letting Morales counter with a right hand.
Wagon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Wagon tests Morales's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Morales moves out of range of the strikes.
Morales bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Wagon rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Wagon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Morales seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Wagon throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Morales counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Stanley Wagon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morales ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Morales scores with a decent looking hook.
Wagon is rocked!
Wagon misses with an uppercut
and Morales rattles Wagon with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Wagon tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Morales dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Wagon stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Omari Morales!
Omari Morales bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
